Teen Boxing

Proactive helps teens reach their training goals in our combined Teen/ Adult Boxing Class. Have fun while learning from professional boxing trainers in a safe and controlled environment.

Classes cater for all levels of experience – from absolute beginners trying out boxing for the first time, intermediates, through to professional athletes.

Teen Boxing

Proactive offers a combined Teen/ Adult Boxing program.

Training alongside adults exposes teens to positive role models which promotes motivation, respect, focus, and self-discipline. Our boxing classes improve fitness, conditioning, personal awareness, resilience, independence, strength, and self-confidence with classes held in a fun and challenging environment designed to bring out the best in everyone!

The program was developed by Principal Rick O’Brien (Diploma of Sports Coaching) with over 40 years of professional experience in coaching in schools, youth groups, and teens with challenging behaviours.

Progressive learning

Teens start out as Level 1 Beginners in their first few classes. Proactive offers a structured grading syllabus which allows teens to work their own pace and gain the skills required for each level, until they gain their PRO Level 10 certification (professional boxer level). Each grading acts as a stepping stone with each level becoming more challenging than the one before. The Boxing syllabus cultivates goal-setting, motivation, and confidence.

Proactive also offers RPLs (Recognised Prior Learning) for those coming from different styles to seamlessly transition into Boxing.

Coaching

Proactive Instructors are Qualified Sports Coaches with a minimum Cert III qualification, with current Working with Children Checks. Instructors are selected based on their passion and communication skills who motivate teens to strive hard to achieve their goals.

Interested in some healthy competition?

Teens who show dedication, consistency, and enthusiasm in their training can try out for the Proactive Top Team which gives members the opportunity to test their limits and compete in local gym spars.
