Private Group Sessions

One-off short courses for self defence training.

Sessions are suitable for groups of friends, family, sports clubs, gyms or even workplace groups!

Proactive Self Defence group sessions can be arranged to take place at your home, workplace, event centre or at the Proactive Self Defence Academy. Choose between specially designed Self Defence modules or have a program tailored for your group’s needs – whether it be street smart, practical physical training, or a combination of both.

Personal Security

Violence awareness & prevention. Topics include; types of violence, managing fear, how to use assertive body & verbal language. Develop the mindset to better respond to harassment situations. Personal security tips include; public transport safety, home security, dealing with road rage, party safety, online dating, travelling, and more in this discussion-based seminar.

Practical Self Defence

Simple, effective, and instinctive techniques. In this practical session, you will learn how to defend and protect yourself  from a larger aggressor. Topics include; escapes from common attacks, defensive covers, offensive striking to primary target areas to fend off an attacker, and using your whole body as a weapon. Highly recommended with Personal Security module.

Ground Defence (Anti-Rape)

Defence techniques for common grabs. Defend yourself from a range of sexual abuse and harassment situations (includes drills from ground position) and using your whole body for maximum leverage against a larger aggressor. We recommend doing this with a friend you trust and are comfortable with (for drill partner)

Armed Attack

What to do and how to use your everyday items to your advantage. Learn skills to survive an armed attack. Includes scenario training against common weapon attacks such as knives, syringe, clubs, firearms, etc. Session also covers defensive use of improvised weapons from items you carry and use daily.
